Office 365 and Dynamic Distribution Groups in Hybrid Exchange deployments.

Lets talk today about Dynamic distribution groups in a hybrid environment where we have on premises and Exchange Online implemented. After our move to the cloud we got a service incident saying that sending mail to “Everyone” Wasn’t working anymore. After finding out that Dynamic distribution groups are not synced to the cloud in dirsync we had to look for other solutions…
We created the following workaround to achieve our following goals;
-Add dynamically members from on premise and cloud users.
-Secure groups by authenticating all users for allow sending to this group.
Here is how we implemented the solution:

Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant 32 or 64 bit?

I had to deploy the MOS SIA for our company and was asking my self OK… I have x64 bit Win 7 machines but Office 32 bit installations. What version of MOS SIA I need to deploy?

System Requirements:

• MOS SIA can be installed on the following operating systems:
  • Windows 7
  • Windows Vista
  • Windows XP Service Pack 3
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Windows Server 2008
  • Windows Server 2003
• MOS SIA does not support WOW (Windows-on-Windows) configurations. That is, installing the 32-bit version on a 64-bit operating system is not supported. The 32-bit version must be installed on 32-bit operating systems, and the 64-bit version must be installed on 64-bit operating systems.

Moved my Blog to Blogger.Com

Yep, after considering the fact i paid 12 $ for my cname domain mapping in wordpress i have to admit that i have no regrets that i moved my blog. I like the detailed stats, options and the overview of the dashboard. Also the new look and feel is very nice. So, my old blog http://mscholman.wordpress.com is still available, i moved my old post and see that picture links are still redirected to wordpress.com. Not a big deal but its good to know you just shouldn't delete your old blog. So in the near future i will be posting my blogs here. I will exploring the features in Blogger.com and in the next days i will comple the design etc. Hope you stay tuned in my new blog environment :-) !
